'iilaa, to in Arabic, is a new reformed way of a message in a bottle.

The capsule is compromised of two parts the upper part is a separate sealed part that holds the recipe in hope of them trying to replicate it, family recipes are usually held sacred and are never shared in the Arabic culture. and so this project simply became personal, and it feels like I sent a piece of me.
The main body of the capsule is the one holding the actual recipe, which is pickled small eggplants that are usually eaten as side dish.

The shape of both containers is aerodynamic and works on the same concept of a regular message in a bottle where half is submerged and the rest is peeking through the water, the tides should push the vessel to either Spain or Morocco during a duration of 3 months maximum.
I worked on this project with the Tawam family, a family that has been working in the glass blowing industry for generations. and it was interesting to design something and learn the craft of glass blowing
