Zikra, Arabic for memory is a lamp inspired from the days that I used to live in the old city of Jerusalem.
Zikra is a working floor lamp, for people who enjoy working on the floor, as it's easily adjustable and facilities the experience using simple concepts which also makes it very user friendly and straightforward

The pouch is filled with fine granules of sand, 1/3 of the rod is submerged by the sand, which acts as a 360º pivot point for the rod for all directions
The light house moves across the length of the pipe, however it's controlled by the length of the exterior cable. It can also turn 360º arround the pipe
The switch is placed conveniently on the connector, so that the user could turn the lamp on while he is sitting instead of having to stand up
